WHAT TO EXPECT

Physical Opening
Ceremony

Participants will attend a half-day briefing to kick off the competition. Teams should use this opportunity to meet their mentors and fellow participants.

Virtual Training
Workshops

Participants can expect to learn about mobile app development and broaden their knowledge through advanced workshops.

Virtual Qualifiers

The problem statements will be released on 16 May 2025. At the qualifier stage, teams will ideate, plan and design solutions. The teams with the best proposals will be selected to proceed to the finals.

Physical Finals

The CODE_EXP finals will be a two-day event. The first day will be set aside for finalists to complete their Minimum Viable Prototype and to set up and prepare their pitch. Pitching and judging will be held in the morning of 12 June 2025.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This competition is designed for post-secondary to undergraduate students.

This activity requires a team of three to five people. Each team should have at least TWO SINGAPOREAN CITIZEN registrants to be eligible.

If you qualify for the physical finals, you are required to bring your own laptop.

CODE_EXP COMPETITION CATEGORIES

There are two competition categories:

Competitive

Each team is allowed to choose the category they would like to compete in. Please note that a minimum number of teams is required for each competition category to proceed. The organiser retains the right to merge or cancel categories if the minimum is not met.

The top three teams in the Competitive category will stand to win attractive cash prizes! An additional "Dare To Try" award is available for this category as well.

For the Novice category, teams can stand to win the "People's Choice" and "Dare to Try" awards.
