Explore space technology and learn about the development lifecycle of satellites

Participate in a hands-on competition to develop your very own CubeSat. Learn how to integrate and assemble a Cubesat using different components, and how its collected payload data is exploited. Employ systems engineering skillsets to develop a physical system capable of delivering mission requirements, while taking into account performance trade-offs and managing limited resources.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Physical Workshop

Participants can expect to get hands-on training on how to assemble and integrate a CubeSat using components such as solar panels and a camera. Participants will have the opportunity to try their hand on rapid prototyping tools such as 3D printing, and be trained on how to communicate remotely with their CubeSats to receive payload data for further processing.

Site Visit

Participants will have a chance to join a space-related site visit.

Physical Finals

The SpaceCube finals will take place over two days, with students receiving their mission brief on 11 June 2025.

By employing engineering skillsets gained from the workshop, teams will compete to assemble, integrate, and deploy their CubeSat to execute the given missions. Participants will also get to attend a talk by an astronaut.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This competition is designed for post-secondary to undergraduate students.

This activity requires a team of four to six people. Each team should have at least TWO SINGAPOREAN CITIZEN registrants to be eligible.

You are required to bring your own laptop for this activity.
