Get up close and personal with a diverse range of exhibits and learn how DSTA equips Singapore with cutting-edge defence tech. Hear from invited speakers as they share valuable insights on the latest innovations and trends.

The Tech Showcase activities will be available throughout the two-day physical finale. All participants who successfully qualify for the physical finale will automatically have access to the booths and tech talks.

Learn about defence technology through fun and interactive experiences at the various booths.

LIDAR & HUMANOID

LIDAR & HUMANOID

Have you ever dreamt of being a secret agent in those spy movies, sneaking into a highly protected compound? Or perhaps you prefer to be on the other side, configuring the security and defences for your secret lair. Now you can experience both scenarios, by challenging your friends in this Player vs Player showdown!

Participants will split into two teams - Detection and Infiltration.

The goal of the Infiltration Team is to successfully navigate through a life-size maze that is protected by sensors and robots. The lower the detection rate, the better your score!

The Detection Team's task is to strategically position both a LIDAR sensor and a Humanoid Robot to maximise the detection of the Infiltration Team as they move through the maze. The LIDAR and Humanoid will be linked to a command and control system for the Detection Team to deploy the sensors and robots.

COUNTER DRONE ARENA

COUNTER DRONE ARENA

Think you're a sharpshooter? Challenge your friends to see how fast you can take down a drone in our counter drone arena!

Take down a flying drone the traditional way with a simulated gun. Alternatively, if you prefer a more sophisticated approach, try your hand at the software defined radio and leverage on radio frequency interference to take down the drone instead.

Participants will learn how counter-drone solutions are made up of different technologies working together to perform the various tasks of detecting, identifying, tracking and mitigating against unauthorised drones in the sky.

DRONE ZONE

Ever wondered how those visually captivating drone light shows are created? This is your chance to see how programming algorithms can come together to control multiple drones autonomously and simultaneously.

Participants will experience how flight patterns can be designed and configured for drone swarms, and witness up close the live drone light shows in action.

MARITIME ROBOTICS

If you think robotics are limited to expensive platforms requiring proprietary technology, think again!

Explore the unmanned jetboard, a low-cost Unmanned Surface Vessel that implements a host of advanced machine learning algorithms to achieve autonomous operations out at sea. Witness first-hand how the camera is integrated to display on-site real time capture, and how computer vision algorithms can detect objects and obstacles.

THE IMMERSION ZONE

THE IMMERSION ZONE

Welcome to the Immersion Zone! Team up with a friend to explore Extended Reality (XR) together in two-player simulations!

XR is an umbrella term that includes Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). The showcase features collaborative XR experiences, where one player engages in an immersive VR simulation, while the other uses MR or physical tools to provide strategic guidance.

Participants can choose between two games. Experience what it is like as a Red Lion during the National Day Parade, with a VR Parachute Descent game that simulates real-world freefall conditions for training or mission planning, or pilot a drone in a VR environment, honing your navigation skills in a dynamic virtual landscape.
